Yoinki was borne out of a desire to help everyone engage simply and easily with causes in the community. We wanted to enable efficient giving of time or money to those passionate people. As well as make the giving process better for all charities. Because generosity should be simple.

CEO & Co Founder
Alex Debney is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Yoinki.
He began his career in banking and investments, but decided he wanted the challenge of building a company instead… While some days he regrets this decision, most of the time he is extremely passionate about delivering innovation to the social impact sector. Alex has Bachelor’s Degrees in engineering, finance and economics and volunteered with Engineers Without Borders while at university.
Alex manages stress with a terribly inconsistent approach to meditation, and persists in the pursuits of creative writing, surfing and guitar despite a lack of any natural talent in these areas.
COO & Co Founder
Todd Smith is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Yoinki.
He is a CFA charterholder who keeps the company running on a day-to-day basis, much to the delight of his co-founders. Todd ran a popular YouTube channel with hundreds of hours of educational content for high school students. With his passion for teaching he has also volunteered as a high school teacher. Prior to Yoinki Todd worked in banking and investments, and lectured in finance at The University of Melbourne, where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, and statistics (Honours).
When Todd isn’t keeping Yoinki running he enjoys spending time with his family, long walks on the beach, and casually reading astrophysics.
CPO & Co Founder
Conway Ying is the Chief Product Officer and co-founder of Yoinki.
Not content with simply studying at university, Conway created a scientific calculator with over 1.5 million downloads and hundreds of thousands of users in the developing world. He previously worked in Google’s marketing team and as a software engineer with Microsoft. Conway has also volunteered his time as a strategy consultant for NSW Health and St John’s Ambulance.
In the spare time that he doesn’t actually have, Conway likes to tinker with generative machine learning models and experiment with different forms of meditation.
